YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:
- Oversee the operational management of the hotel, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Reservations. Work closely with the GM and be the ‘go-to’ person in their absence.
- Display a proactive and leading role in service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures, and skills development.
- Assist in managing day-to-day hotel operations by maximizing financial returns, fostering a people-first culture, and creating a unique guest experience.
- Execute brand standards and operational initiatives, with a focus on health and safety, compliance, and developing a strong team culture to promote awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community.
- Oversee all meetings and events, working alongside the meetings team from enquiry to delivery.
- Support initiatives and the overall objectives of the business regarding revenues, costs, and teamwork, while developing personal competency levels.
- Be the guarantor of guest satisfaction, positioning yourself as a benchmark for quality.
- Your role will report to the General Manager, and you will deputize in their absence.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in an internationally recognized branded hotel – Marriott experience preferred.
- Keen ability to analyze performance metrics.
- Experience in setting and managing budgets to achieve optimal returns.
- A strong background in Duty Management and Food & Beverage is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Opera PMS, with Symphony experience desired.
- Previous experience in a Marriott Brand is preferred.
