YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  1. Oversee the operational management of the hotel, including Guest Services, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Reservations. Work closely with the GM and be the ‘go-to’ person in their absence.
  2. Display a proactive and leading role in service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures, and skills development.
  3. Assist in managing day-to-day hotel operations by maximizing financial returns, fostering a people-first culture, and creating a unique guest experience.
  4. Execute brand standards and operational initiatives, with a focus on health and safety, compliance, and developing a strong team culture to promote awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community.
  5. Oversee all meetings and events, working alongside the meetings team from enquiry to delivery.
  6. Support initiatives and the overall objectives of the business regarding revenues, costs, and teamwork, while developing personal competency levels.
  7. Be the guarantor of guest satisfaction, positioning yourself as a benchmark for quality.
  8. Your role will report to the General Manager, and you will deputize in their absence.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in an internationally recognized branded hotel – Marriott experience preferred.
  • Keen ability to analyze performance metrics.
  • Experience in setting and managing budgets to achieve optimal returns.
  • A strong background in Duty Management and Food & Beverage is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Opera PMS, with Symphony experience desired.
  • Previous experience in a Marriott Brand is preferred.
