About You

About The Role

Location: Home based/London Based - Travel Required

Salary: £52k per annum, plus £3k car allowance - Will be expected to work away from home when required

Reporting into the Regional Director, you will lead the performance of multiple locations within your region, providing direct management, support, and guidance to managers and support functions to meet quality, customer, financial, and growth targets. You will directly manage Registered Managers, providing feedback and performance updates to the Regional Director as needed.

Key Tasks

Quality and Governance
  • Support the Regional Director and services to achieve GOOD or OUTSTANDING ratings with the Regulator (CQC/CIW or equivalent) through audits.
  • Manage service visits and audits as KPIs.
  • Implement and review the Salutem Assessment Framework, collaborating with the quality team and updating the Regional Director.
  • Oversee survey feedback implementation, ensuring improvements are made and maintained.
  • Drive quality improvements, manage complaints, and support service action plans.
  • Ensure environments are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
  • Support legal frameworks and safeguarding issues, leading when necessary.
  • Use data and IT systems to oversee location performance.
Financial and Commercial
  • Support the Regional Director in achieving EBITDA and KPI targets, managing occupancy and costs.
  • Identify investment opportunities and ensure ROI.
  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Develop commercial partnerships and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Partnership Working
  • Build partnerships with third-party organizations and stakeholders.
  • Support business development initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with individuals involved in service users' lives.
Strategy and Leadership
  • Assist in creating regional strategic plans for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Support divisional strategy development.
  • Implement service improvement plans and monitor compliance.
People Management
  • Manage and support registered managers, oversee recruitment, and staff development.
  • Promote staff retention and professional growth.
  • Lead by example and support a positive organizational culture.
  • Be prepared to act as registered manager if needed.
  • Support regional leadership and development opportunities.

This role requires regular travel, flexible working, and overnight stays. The post holder will undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple sites and in regulated environments.
  • Degree or equivalent experience, project management skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
