Job summary

Avanti Schools Trust is seeking an experienced Operations Manager based at Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore, Greater London, to lead catering operations across multiple sites, delivering high-quality vegetarian meals and ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

You will coach Chef Managers, manage budgets, analyse performance data, support tenders and new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with school leaders and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience in the catering industry.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial performance across multiple sites, managing budgets, costs, meal uptake and customer satisfaction to drive efficiency and profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop Chef Managers and catering teams, promoting high standards and continuous improvement.
• Analyze operational, financial and performance data, producing KPI reports and action plans to improve site performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop relationships with school leaders, Trust representatives, suppliers and external partners; support tenders, renewals, procurement and new business.
• Ensure catering operations maintain high standards of food quality, food safety, allergen management, health and safety, and compliance.
