Job summary

Avanti Gardens School in Bristol is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the maintenance, safety and day-to-day operation of the school site. You will lead on site operations, contractors, cleaning, caretaking, compliance and lettings, ensuring health and safety standards are met and resources are well managed.

You will work closely with the Principal and school team, promoting a welcoming environment for pupils and staff, while supporting safeguarding responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience in a facilities management or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and related legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance, security, cleaning and upkeep of the school site.
  • Lead and coordinate contractors, cleaners and site staff to high standards and deadlines.
  • Manage health and safety, compliance checks, risk assessments and maintenance records.
  • Oversee lettings, deliveries, stock and site-related budgets and resources.
  • Build positive relationships with staff, parents and stakeholders and support safeguarding commitments.
