Pertemps Black Country Perms is recruiting an experienced Operations & Logistics Manager to lead a busy warehouse and fulfilment operation in Walsall. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience, with clear ownership of daily activities and a drive for efficiency.

You will coordinate warehouse, transport and fulfilment functions, lead the team effectively, and drive operational improvements to support future growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing warehouse, logistics, distribution or operational teams.
• Good knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
• Experience coordinating transport operations and third-party logistics providers (3PL).
• Practical understanding of health and safety in warehouse/logistics settings.
• Experience with ERP, warehouse management or logistics systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the warehouse, transport and logistics operation, ensuring orders go out accurately and on time.
• Lead and support the operational team, clarifying priorities and performance expectations.
• Monitor stock and inventory, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external transport providers to plan deliveries and resolve issues.
• Lead health and safety across the operation and maintain safe, compliant practices.
• Use KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify and implement more efficient ways of working to support business growth.
