Job summary

Ubico is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support high‑quality waste and recycling services. You will work with Operations Managers to monitor performance, deploy resources, and drive service improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

You will lead on staff recruitment, induction, training and attendance, and assist with budgets and emergency planning. The role requires strong organisation, communication and problem‑solving skills and a commitment to our

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management (Road Haulage) is required.
• Certificate of Technical Competence Level 4 (Managing Transfer Operations) is required.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
