British American Tobacco United Kingdom has an exciting opportunity for an Operations HR Business Partner in Southampton

The purpose of this role is to provide HR Business Partnering expertise to Supply Network Operations, a critical part of our global Operations function. The role is accountable to deliver the comprehensive people agenda including talent, culture and rewards as well as be accountable for the overall delivery of HR processes, ensuring alignment to global HR agenda, in line with business priorities and enabling a great employee experience in British American Tobacco. The role offers an opportunity to think and act strategically whilst delivering operational results as well as a fantastic development experience by working within a global function which is at the forefront of our transformation.

Your Key Accountabilities Will Include

  • Provide efficient and effective HR Business Partnering advice and support to key partners on People and HR matters, suggesting appropriate solutions as required and driving OTIF our HR cycle;
  • Support the Senior HRBP Operations in the development and delivery for Global Operations functions;
  • Work with the Leadership Team to deliver talent management and development agenda for the Sub-functions
  • Leverage data analytics to act upon and give to our People Agenda
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing employee concerns, handle conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, feedback sessions, and recognition programs
  • Lead organizational change, from Org Design changes to communications and engagement, aligning with legislation and looking after minimal disruption to the business and teams.
  • Build a proven relationship with key collaborators, from Global Business Leadership teams to HR colleagues
  • Ensure quality recruitment into the function, overlooking the joiners/movers/exits processes.
  • Own and drive workforce planning and management, including quarterly budget reviews and annual budgeting exercise;

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced HR professional with expertise in Reward, Talent, Org Design & Efficiency, Employee Relations, and Global HR systems;
  • Experience of working within complexed, matrixed organizations
  • Proven track record of building credible relationships with senior leadership teams and an ability to influence senior partners;
  • Strong commercial competence and the ability to connect People Agenda with Operations Strategy
  • Collaborative leadership passionate about finding solutions;
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse data and generate insights to shape and deliver the people agenda as well as make the right people decisions.
  • Continuous improvement attitude to processes and services;
  • Strong organizational skills and high levels of attention to detail;
  • Tenacity and resilience to continue to deliver in times of organizational change and ambiguity;
  • Confirmed ability to learn quickly and dedication to self-development

Desirable Capabilities

  • Ability to work closely with teams with varied strengths across multiple locations
  • Reasonable level of project management skills to drive a structured drumbeat on core People metrices
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and ability to mentor others (particularly in enabling line managers to resolve employee relations issues);
  • Global or above market experience;
  • CIPD qualified;
