A leading company is seeking a Senior Business Partner in HR & Employment Law for a full-time remote role. The ideal candidate will provide consultancy services in education HR and employment law while supporting clients on-site. Strong knowledge of HR practices, especially in the education sector, along with excellent communication skills, is essential for this position. Professional HR certification is preferred but not essential.

The Schools People is a provider of HR & Employment Law Consultancy and DPO Services to Schools, Academies, and Multi Academy Trusts. Through our parent company Schools Advisory Service, we also support their clients with advice on Occupational Health matters. This year, we are launching the Doctor HR service to provide added value.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Schools People Senior Business Partner in HR & Employment Law, with knowledge of GDPR and Occupational Health in education being advantageous. The role is home-based (we set you up), but travel across the NW and wider areas is required to support clients on-site. The Senior Business Partner will deliver HR and Employment Law consultancy to clients, covering education HR and employment law issues. Contributions to our DPO or Doctor HR services are welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong HR and Employment Law knowledge in the education sector
• Experience in employee relations casework
• Experience working with trade unions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
• Knowledge of employment law and regulations
• Experience in the education sector
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) preferred or willingness to pursue CPD
• Knowledge or experience of GDPR/DPO services or Occupational Health advice is advantageous
