Job summary

Morningstar is seeking an Operations Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in our London office. You will monitor and support the Market Data application stack, collaborating with teams in London and Mumbai, and contribute to cloud migration efforts and tooling improvements.

Key focus areas include strong incident management, monitoring enhancements, and reliable deployment practices. The role requires 40-hour weeks with shift rotations, including late finishes and holidays.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated troubleshooting of live, business-critical systems.
• Service-focused mindset with ability to own incidents end-to-end.
• Able to work independently within a support rota.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line operational support across London and Mumbai.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility.
• Deploy, configure, and validate software changes to the Market Data stack.
• Respond to internal/external requests promptly and professionally.
• Create and maintain clear operational documentation.
• Participate in shift rotations and training.
