Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited seeks an Operations Director to bridge the Senior Management team and the board across production, design, quality, HSE, engineering and supply chain for a ~300-strong team. The role offers a market-leading salary with a clear path to the board and a broad, multi-site Yorkshire manufacturing environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead manufacturing and engineering leadership, and deliver on long-term strategic goals while maintaining strong P&L discipline

Qualifications

• Degree calibre required with evidenced leadership and coaching abilities.
• Formal Lean and Continuous Improvement training. Track record of lean implementation and developing a culture of CI.
• Prior experience in a world-class manufacturer in a senior management/director post.
• Gravitas to lead a large team from shop floor to board room.
• Relationship builder able to increase co-operation across departments.

Our client, a multisite Yorkshire manufacturing business, seek to appoint an Operations Director to act as the intermediary between the Senior Management team and the board. The appointed Operations Director will have overall responsibility for production, design, quality, health and safety, engineering and supply chain activities for a team of circa 300. Operations Director - Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver on the operational KPIs for the site whilst simultaneously further developing a culture of continuous improvement
• Lead senior colleagues in manufacturing and engineering to contribute effectively to the growth strategy of the business
• Deliver on long term strategic vision of the company and implement cultural change
• Flexible attitude on a day to day basis. Firm and persistant when expressing views but a good listener comfortable changing course if given compelling reasons
