Job summary

Swindale Parks (Sales & Marketing) Recruitment is seeking an Operations Director for a long-standing precision engineering SME in the UK. You will hold full day-to-day leadership accountability, report to the Group Managing Director, and be responsible for delivering the annual revenue plan while driving profitability, delivery performance, capacity, quality and customer service.

Operations Director

Our client, a long-established precision engineering SME business based in Fife is seeking an Operations Director with full day-to-day leadership accountability, reporting into the Group Managing Director, responsible for delivering the annual revenue plan, whilst continuously improving profitability, delivery performance, capacity, quality, employee capability and customer service.

Key responsibilities encompass: Strategic Leadership; Operational Management; Financial Management; People Leadership; Compliance & Governance; Stakeholder Management; Key Performance Indicators.

We are seeking a strategic thinking Executive with extensive business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, strong communication & influencing abilities, excellent problem solving & decision-making capability, project & programme management skills, financial & analytical competence, plus strong organizational & planning skills.

You will have proven operational leadership experience, gained within an engineering, manufacturing, machining or precision repair environment.

Degree level or professional management qualification is preferred, but equivalent relevant industry experience will also be considered.
