Job summary

You will balance demand, capacity, crews, vehicles and working-time to mobilise work safely and on time, working with Fleet, Warehouse and project teams to deliver a customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in scheduling, transport planning, resourcing or operational diary management.
• Strong prioritisation, problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident use of planning systems and data to improve accuracy, utilisation and responsiveness.
• Good understanding of safe working practices and accurate operational records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operational diary, allocating crews and vehicles to meet work requirements.
• Balance demand, capacity, working-time requirements and customer priorities.
• Translate commitments into clear, achievable delivery plans.
• Identify planning conflicts and risks, escalating issues promptly.
• Maintain separation between scheduling and workforce support.
• Communicate schedules and priorities clearly to teams and stakeholders.
• Use planning data and labour insights to improve accuracy and productivity.
• Lead day-to-day diary planning priorities and guide diary operators.
• Act as escalation point for conflicts and short-notice changes to protect commitments.
