About the Role
The Newspaper Operations team is responsible for leading the operational planning, production, and timely distribution of our printed titles. We aim to improve processes through technology and talent to make our print operations smarter.

You will be a competent, diligent, and communicative staff member working at an intermediate level across the department's functions, providing technical expertise to support others.

This exciting role requires high attention to detail and covers imaging responsibilities, working 37.5 hours per week over 4 days on a flexible rota covering 7 days, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Delivery Coordinator, you will help deliver high standards to achieve the best for our publications. You should be flexible and aligned with The Telegraph's values of Together, Open-Minded, Fearless, and Informed.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Color correcting and creating cutouts of images for Newspapers and Magazines.
  • Transmitting magazine pages to printers.
  • Correcting images for POS posters, banners, and promotional materials.
  • Proofing images for editorial approval.
  • Working with designers to advise on image quality and provide guidance.
  • Occasionally working out of hours in a standalone role.
  • Handling transmission and planning accurately and efficiently.

Skills required for the role
Candidates should demonstrate confidence in the following areas in a busy environment:

  • Advanced Photoshop retouching skills for print production.
  • Handling and basic picture production cutouts in Photoshop.
  • Intermediate knowledge of print publishing for Newspapers and Magazines.
  • Ability to work late shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
  • Intermediate skills in color reproduction and management.
  • Problem-solving, analysis, and judgment skills.
  • Experience in deadline-driven environments, including shift work.
  • Support and advice capabilities for colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work independently out of hours.
