Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an Operations Data Steward (ODS) for FAS Operations in the UK. You will own governance across operational data, maintain lineage, metadata and data quality, and partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, IT and CDAO to embed enterprise standards.

The role requires hands-on data governance, remediation planning, retention management and reporting. You will drive controls, evidence of compliance, and escalation of issues, while business owners retain accountability in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data stewardship, and data quality.
• Knowledge of data lineage, retention and privacy in regulated environments.
• Ability to translate complex data issues into business impacts.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of data assets, metadata and ownership.
• Document end-to-end data lineage and process flows.
• Implement governance policies and controls across FAS Operations.
• Ensure data sources are authoritative and consistently defined.
• Define data quality rules and monitor performance.
• Investigate data issues and coordinate remediation.
• Provide leadership in governance and reporting.
• Embed stewardship in day-to-day processes.
• Assess projects for governance and privacy impacts.
