Job summary

Vanguard UK Personal Investor Operations is seeking an Operations Data Steward to own governance of operational data across UKPI. You will maintain data inventories, keep metadata current and ensure data quality, lineage and retention meet regulatory and business needs.

Reporting to Head of Operations, UK Personal Investor, you will partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance and Privacy to translate standards into practice and support resilient client outcomes and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance and data management within financial services.
• Knowledge of privacy, risk and regulatory requirements relating to data management.
• Experience with data stewardship activities and governance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of operational data assets, including ownership, location and lifecycle.
• Maintain metadata, data definitions and ownership records in governance repositories.
• Document and maintain end-to-end data lineage, source systems and transformations.
• Implement data governance policies, standards, processes and controls across UKPI Operations.
• Ensure reporting uses authoritative, controlled data sources.
