Job summary

Amey has a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Operational Controller to join our EMROC team in Nottingham. You will coordinate daily highway maintenance activities, manage gang deployment and ensure works align with programme, SLAs and performance targets.

The role covers planned and reactive works, including emergency response, with standard hours of 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off rotation, followed by 4 nights on/off.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate daily operational activities.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.
• Capable of interpreting programme schedules.

Responsibilities

• Approve resource programmes to support operational planning.
• Manage daily gang activities against programme and provide on-site contact.
• Ensure delivery meets timescales, SLAs and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with Supervisors to resolve on-site issues.
• Produce daily/weekly reports on gang activity and performance.
• Schedule emergency and sub-24-hour works, including same-day activities.
