Job summary

THE·TEAM is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our Operations Team, reporting into our Associate Director. This role ensures event services and equipment are sourced, contracted and maintained, working with suppliers to secure contracts and manage equipment for delivery of market-leading events.

Based in the UK, this office-based role runs Monday to Friday with some weekend work and long hours during event delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in mass participation sports operations or projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Shows initiative and curiosity.
• Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Enjoys teamwork and meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn new software.
• Willing to work occasional weekends or long hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Help secure and contract event suppliers.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to move projects forward.
• Recruit and manage volunteers.
• Create and review contractor booking forms with attention to detail.
• Help solve problems and keep projects on track.
• Manage timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
• Help manage warehouse and event equipment.
• Assist in production of Event Risk Assessments and Event Management Plans.
• Pitch in wherever needed as part of a team.
