Job summary

Standard Life plc is seeking an Operational Resilience Manager to strengthen the resilience of its Critical Business Services. The role involves mapping services, translating maps into practical resilience plans, and designing challenging tests to probe vulnerabilities.

You will work across business, technology and third parties to uncover weaknesses, drive improvements and ensure robust recovery strategies.

Qualifications

• Operational Resilience experience with Important and Critical Business Services, impact tolerances and mapping/testing.
• Strong testing capability to design, execute and assess complex scenarios, stress tests, simulations.
• Strong analytical skills to understand end-to-end services, dependencies and failure modes.
• Experience of service and dependency testing with remediation and improvements.
• Strong stakeholder, facilitation and delivery skills to manage testing from design through to reporting.

Responsibilities

• Map Important and Critical Business Services end to end, identifying dependencies and vulnerabilities.
• Translate mapping into practical resilience plans with owners to strengthen recovery strategies.
• Design and deliver resilience testing using challenging scenarios and simulations.
• Test dependency failures beyond the obvious and assess outcomes against impact tolerances.
• Turn testing evidence into actionable improvements for future mapping and planning.
