Job summary

Standard Life plc is seeking an Operational Resilience Manager to join the Crisis & Response team. This hybrid role, based in Edinburgh, Birmingham and London, focuses on mapping, planning and testing to strengthen service resilience across critical business services.

The role covers designing challenging scenarios, coordinating with owners and third parties, and delivering tests that reveal vulnerabilities before disruptions occur.

Qualifications

• Operational resilience experience with Important/ Critical services.
• Experience designing and executing complex scenarios, stress tests or exercises.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex end-to-end services and identify vulnerabilities.
• Experience testing services with technology, third parties and dependencies.
• Ability to turn findings into remediation and resilience improvements.

Responsibilities

• Map Important and Critical Business Services end to end, identifying vulnerabilities and failure points.
• Translate mapping into practical resilience plans with owners for recovery strategies.
• Design and deliver deep resilience testing using challenging scenarios and simulations.
• Test beyond obvious failures to uncover vulnerabilities before disruption occurs.
• Drive improvements and strengthen future mapping, planning and testing with evidence.
