Job summary

Standard Life plc in Edinburgh seeks an Operational Resilience Manager – Map, Plan & Test to join the Crisis & Response team on a fixed-term 12-month contract. Hybrid working across Edinburgh, Birmingham and London is offered.

You will map important and critical services, translate maps into practical resilience plans, and design tests and simulations that challenge assumptions and reveal vulnerabilities before a disruption occurs.

Qualifications

• Operational Resilience experience with understanding of Important and Critical Business Services
• Strong testing capability: design, execute and assess complex scenarios
• Analytical skills to understand end-to-end services, dependencies and failure modes
• Experience with service and dependency testing with third parties
• Strong stakeholder, facilitation and delivery skills to manage testing end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Map Important and Critical Business Services end to end, identify vulnerabilities and potential failure points
• Translate mapping into practical resilience plans with service owners to strengthen recovery
• Design and deliver deep resilience testing using challenging scenarios and simulations
• Test single and combined dependency failures and assess outcomes against tolerances
• Turn testing insights into actions to drive improvements in mapping, planning and testing
