Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking an Operational Management Information Developer to build high-quality management information and dashboards that support decision making across UK government services.

You will work in the Working Age Data and Performance Team, delivering analytics that inform operational improvements and strategic priorities. The role combines SQL-based data modeling with Power BI visualisations and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex operational data.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes through data-led insight.
• Experience leading change and service improvement, taking projects from concept to delivery while influencing others to achieve objectives.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex data, apply sound judgement and make evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Experience using SQL or similar data manipulation tools, version control such as Git, and Power BI or similar visualisation software.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality management information, dashboards and analytical products using Power BI and SQL.
• Transform complex data into meaningful insights to support operational and strategic decision making.
• Identify trends, measure performance and uncover opportunities to improve service delivery across key programs.
• Work with operational colleagues, digital teams and senior stakeholders to influence decisions through evidence-based analysis.
• Lead analytical projects and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
