Job summary

Valexis Consulting is seeking an exceptional Operational Excellence Consultant in the Plymouth area. The role focuses on diagnosing performance gaps, designing future-state processes, and delivering measurable improvements across PE-backed portfolio companies in the UK.

Ideal candidates combine rigorous analysis with hands-on implementation, engaging with senior leaders and frontline teams to translate insights into value. Travel to client sites will be required as part of engagements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose operational performance and identify real causes of underperformance
• Map and challenge existing processes, operating models and ways of working
• Identify productivity, cost, service and working-capital opportunities
• Design pragmatic future-state processes and operating models
• Quantify improvement opportunities and build credible implementation cases
• Establish KPIs and performance-management disciplines
• Work alongside management teams to implement improvements
• Track whether expected benefits actually reach the P&L
