Can you see what's really stopping a business performing? A process map is useful. Finding the £2m hidden behind a broken process is considerably more interesting. Valexis Consulting works with PE-backed businesses to improve performance and create measurable enterprise value. We're looking to meet exceptional Operational Excellence and Performance Improvement consultants who combine rigorous analysis with the ability to get improvements implemented.

What you'll do

• You'll get under the skin of how portfolio companies actually operate and identify practical opportunities to improve performance. That could involve:
• Diagnosing operational performance and identifying the real causes of underperformance
• Mapping and challenging existing processes, operating models and ways of working
• Identifying productivity, cost, service and working-capital opportunities
• Designing pragmatic future-state processes and operating models
• Quantifying improvement opportunities and building credible implementation cases
• Establishing KPIs and performance-management disciplines
• Working alongside management teams to implement improvements
• Tracking whether expected benefits actually reach the P&L

Your job isn't simply to identify what's wrong. It's to help make it better.

What we're looking for

• You might come from operational excellence, performance improvement, Lean, process transformation, management consulting or hands-on operational leadership. We're particularly interested in people who can combine:
• Strong analytical problem solving
• Commercial understanding
• Process and operating-model expertise
• An ability to distinguish symptoms from root causes
• Pragmatism about what businesses can actually implement
• Confidence working with senior leaders and frontline teams
• A relentless focus on measurable outcomes
• PE experience is useful, but not mandatory. Understanding the relationship between operational performance, EBITDA and enterprise value is more important.
