Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day maintenance and facilities on site in Ware.

The role requires coordinating maintenance callouts, conducting onsite checks and liaising with CBRE to ensure issues are resolved efficiently. The candidate should have prior maintenance or facilities experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and be comfortable with manual handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities administration or building maintenance.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance issues and contractors.
• Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills (phone and email).
• Proficient use of MS Office; Google Workspace advantageous.
• Proactive, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Willingness to undertake some manual handling as required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with CBRE to arrange maintenance callouts and site visits.
• Regularly communicate with CBRE via email and telephone.
• Conduct onsite checks to identify and assess maintenance issues.
• Follow up outstanding maintenance and facilities requirements.
• Coordinate waste collections and general facilities duties.
• Keep stakeholders updated on progress and issues.
• Assist with general building maintenance tasks and lifting when needed.
