Job summary

CBRE, Inc. in Ware is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an onsite contract. You will support day-to-day maintenance and facilities needs, coordinating with CBRE to arrange callouts and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

The role involves onsite checks, waste coordination, and general facilities duties, with a hands-on, proactive approach and potential manual handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within maintenance, facilities administration or building maintenance.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
• Experience using Google Workspace would be advantageous.
• A practical approach to identifying and resolving onsite issues.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with CBRE to arrange maintenance callouts and site visits.
• Communicating regularly with CBRE via email and telephone.
• Conducting onsite checks to identify and assess maintenance issues.
• Following up on outstanding maintenance and facilities requirements.
• Coordinating and arranging the collection of waste.
• Supporting the general upkeep and smooth operation of the site.
• Carrying out general facilities and building maintenance duties as required.
• Undertaking some manual handling and heavy lifting when required.
