Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will work closely with developers to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective services in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, managing multi-cloud infrastructure, IaC, containers, and proactive monitoring. Relocation support is available, with onsite work at our Lisbon office and collaboration with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes, Helm.
• Linux, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
• Understanding cloud cost optimization, scalability, and high-availability.
• Strong problem-solving in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests and deployments.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices including identity management and logging.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Stay updated with emerging DevOps technologies and best practices.
