Job summary

Birkbeck College is seeking an IT/AV support specialist to deliver high-quality, responsive services to staff and students. You will handle front-line and second-line support, maintain classroom AV equipment, and aim for first-time fixes in a collaborative in-person environment.

The role is full-time, based on-site in London with a shift pattern from 8:00 to 20:30, Monday to Friday, and some additional time as needed. Prior higher education experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Solid and demonstrable understanding of MS Windows and Networking.
• Experience in higher education would be an advantage.
• Ability to deliver a first-time fix for users.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line and second-line IT/AV support to staff and students.
• Work on a shift roster to cover 8:00–20:30, Monday to Friday, with some additional hours as required.
• Work onsite in a fully office-based environment.
