Job summary

Brightwork Ltd in the UK is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead the mechanical installation of food processing equipment across multiple sites. You will supervise a team of fitters and welders, read site drawings, and ensure works comply with health and safety standards.

The role requires extensive travel to customer sites in Europe and the Middle East, with periods away from home up to six weeks; occasional night shifts and emergency call-outs may be required.

Qualifications

• Formal mechanical engineering background or recognized mechanical trade qualifications.
• Experience reading and interpreting site layout drawings.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a team on active installations.
• Familiarity with CE and Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install and supervise installation of food process and conveying equipment.
• Supervise and direct a team of mechanical fitters and welders on site.
• Read and interpret site drawings and layout plans.
• Coordinate with electrical and commissioning teams to deliver projects.
• Tackle layout issues and implement mechanical solutions.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements before work.
• Respond to emergencies and provide on-site technical support.
