Job summary

A4 Plus Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service & Installation Engineer to install, commission and service specialist food processing equipment across the UK and overseas. The role includes travel to customer sites and occasional site-based refurbishment work.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong fault‑finding skills and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience fault‑finding and repairing industrial machinery.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
• Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with customers.
• Flexible approach to working hours with occasional nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning and servicing specialist food processing machinery.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Carrying out fault‑finding and repairs at customer premises.
• Supporting customers to minimise machinery downtime.
• Assisting with machinery refurbishment and repair work.
• Maintaining professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Working flexibly to accommodate installation and service requirements.
