Job summary

Neo Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a global client is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to step in as Installation Supervisor in West Lothian. The role involves extensive travel to customer sites across Europe and the Middle East and requires leading fitters and welders, supervising lifts, and reading site drawings.

You will also support customers by phone during breakdowns and prepare method statements, risk assessments and site reports, coordinating with electrical and commissioning

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical trade qualifications, or around 10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Welding, sheet metal, large equipment move, lifting and slinging experience.
• A recognised health and safety qualification.
• A good electrical understanding and strong leadership on site.
• Willingness to travel extensively and to work unsociable hours when urgent site work demands it.

Responsibilities

• Install and supervise mechanical installation of production line equipment at customer sites.
• Lead customer's fitters and welders on site.
• Supervise large equipment lifts and slinging.
• Read site layout drawings and coordinate with electrical and commissioning colleagues.
• Provide support by phone and assist with emergency breakdowns.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and site reports.

With their current Installation Supervisor moving on to a new role, they need an experienced mechanical engineer to step in.
