Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking a proactive HR Assistant at the Ambrosia Creamery in Lifton, Devon. The role supports the employee lifecycle, HR processes, and provides a positive employee experience onsite.

You will handle recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and HR reporting while collaborating with the HR team and site managers. This site-based, full-time role offers a challenging, rewarding environment at Lifton.

Qualifications

• At least two years' administrative experience within an HR environment.
• Experience using HR systems and maintaining employee records.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
• The ability to prioritise workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
• A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR administrative support across the site and ensure employee records are accurate.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new colleagues.
• Manage absence processing, employee relations and engagement activities.
• Produce HR reports and KPI dashboards.
• Coordinate payroll-related activities and benefits where required.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and right-to-work requirements.
