Job summary

SMS Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Fitter for heavy mobile quarry plant based on a large Leicestershire site. The role focuses on service, maintenance and repair of loaders, dumpers and excavators on site. You will work a 55–60 hour week with in-house training and development opportunities.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, with welding on buckets, and a background in servicing heavy mobile quarry or mining plant.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on service/repair experience with large mobile quarry plant (loaders, dumpers, excavators).
• Strong background in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems; welding on buckets/equipment desirable.
• Experience in mobile quarry/mining/construction plant maintenance is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of heavy quarry plant on site.
• Diagnose faults and perform preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulics and electrics.
• Work on a 55–60 hour week with site training and development available.
