Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in the waste management sector. This in-person role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a pay rate of £20 per hour.

You will maintain, service and repair mobile and static plant machinery, diagnose faults, and keep accurate maintenance records while upholding safe working practices. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred, along with solid mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Maintenance Fitter.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with heavy plant or waste/recycling machinery is desirable.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable, proactive and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair mobile and static plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Work on equipment including loaders, conveyors, shredders, balers and compactors.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain safe working practices and accurate maintenance records.
