Job summary

Minster Law Ltd is seeking a part-time Facilities Maintenance Assistant in Wakefield. You will join a cross-functional Facilities team to perform maintenance, support health and safety, and act as a main contact for facilities requests across the office.

The role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with a full UK driving license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding high standards of appearance and conduct within the business.

Responsibilities

• Undertake basic planned preventative maintenance or repair tasks around the building.
• Supervise on-site contractors ensuring Health & Safety requirements are followed.
• Carry out daily checks, routine monitoring and repairs; liaise with Line Manager for specialised repairs.
• Provide first point of contact for basic maintenance tasks and respond quickly to requests.
• Support with building checks, interior decoration, and accurate readings; document results.
• Support project delivery on-time and within budget; ensure contractor permits are in place.
• Assist with safety tests (boilers, fire alarms, water systems) and welfare-related duties.
• Welcome visitors and support onboarding; direct contractors and visitors as needed.
• Coordinate meeting rooms; arrange furniture and layouts; handle confidential information.
