Job summary

Dragados is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead on-site delivery of the environmental strategy for the Curzon St project in Birmingham. You will ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, integrate environmental requirements across design, construction and commercial teams, and champion a culture of environmental responsibility on site.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will manage permits, waste records, audits, and training, and act as the main liaison with Environment Agency

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental discipline or related field.
• MIEMA membership is preferred.
• CSCS card is required or desirable.
• Experience in carbon/BREEAM assessments and construction sites.
• Expert knowledge of UK environmental legislation and ISO systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery of environmental strategy for the Curzon St project.
• Develop and manage Environmental and Energy Plans aligned with corporate systems.
• Integrate environmental requirements across design, construction and commercial teams.
• Engage stakeholders and supply chain to promote best practices.
• Liaise with Environment Agency and Local Authorities, clients, and on-site teams.
• Ensure right-first-time compliance and manage permits, waste records and audits.
• Provide training, toolbox talks and site inductions on environmental topics.
• Produce environmental performance reports and track costs and forecasts.
