We are now seeking an Onsite IT Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team at a thriving secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their IT career. As an Onsite Engineer, you will work closely with the Senior Engineer and school staff to ensure the smooth running of ICT systems and provide first-line support across the school. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a busy school environment while developing your skills and knowledge.

As the Onsite Engineer (or IT apprentice), you will be the face of our company based directly onsite at the school, providing on-site technical support, installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance to our clients. The Onsite Engineer role is perfect for someone with a passion for tech, excellent problem-solving skills, and good customer service skills.

You won’t be working alone – you’ll be based alongside another onsite engineer to share ideas and learn from, with full backing and support from our Technical Operations Team at HQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to staff and students, including logging and resolving support tickets.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware such as PCs, laptops, printers, and interactive whiteboards.
• Help manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Support software installations, updates, and license tracking.
• Assist in routine maintenance and monitoring of network systems.
• Set up AV and IT equipment for lessons, events, and meetings.
• Escalate complex issues to the Senior Engineer or HQ team as needed.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
