Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Bristol to provide hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. You’ll resolve incidents, fulfill service requests and ensure users receive a responsive, high-quality support experience.

Location: Bristol, onsite full time. You’ll handle 2nd line tasks, maintain SLA targets, and collaborate with Level 3 teams to resolve complex issues while installing and configuring software and hardware for laptops, desktops,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, builds and registry settings.
• Experience in 2nd line incident resolution and SLA adherence.
• Familiarity with ITSM tooling and service management processes.
• Basic networking knowledge including LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi and VPN.
• Experience with SCCM and Active Directory is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks.
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA.
• Maintain a <2% incident per month target.
• Complete assigned work within timeframes.
• Undertake project tasks supporting Project Managers.
• Handle non-standard requests within agreed timescales.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.
• Resolve hardware/software issues for laptops, desktops, printers, etc.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
