Job summary

Swisslog is seeking a Resident Site Engineer to join the Derby team. The role involves 12-hour rotating day and night shifts to maintain automated machinery including cranes, conveyors, robots, bagging machines and autostore.

You will perform breakdown and planned preventative maintenance and record all work, with training provided where needed. Applicants should be apprentice-trained electrical engineers or equivalent, able to work at heights, and comfortable in a customer-facing environment

Qualifications

An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
Experience with automated machinery is ideal, but training is provided.
Happy to work at heights.
Customer-facing role requiring effective communication at all levels.
Experience with a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

Maintenance on automated machinery including cranes, conveyors, robots, bagging machines and autostore.
Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance.
Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturers' recommendations and industry standards.
Prioritise system faults and ensure quality of output.
Accurately record all work undertaken.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Comply with Health & Safety legislation.
