Job summary

Swisslog Holding AG in Derby is seeking a Resident Maintenance Engineer to service a range of automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors and monorail systems, in a cold environment.

You will work rotating 12-hour days and nights, carrying out breakdown and preventive maintenance, recording work, and contributing to continuous improvement while complying with safety regulations. Training is provided for CMMS exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated machinery is ideal, training will be provided.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience with a CMMS system is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery (cranes, conveyors, monorail, deep-freeze bay).
• Work in a cold environment (-20°C).
• Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturers’ recommendations and industry standards.
• Prioritise system faults and ensure quality of output.
• Accurately record all work undertaken and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.

The Role - Resident Maintenance Engineer

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; monorail system and a deep freeze high bay.
• Working in a cold environment (-20 degrees)
• To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Prioritise system faults.
• To ensure quality of output at all times.
• To accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.

Application Requirements What you need to succeed

• An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working with automated machinery is ideal, however it is not essential as training will be provided.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience of working with a CMMS system.
