Job summary

Swisslog is seeking a Resident Site Engineer in Derby to perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors, robots, bagging machines and Autostore. You'll work rotating 12-hour days and nights, with company benefits and training provided.

You'll need an apprentice-trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification, CMMS experience, and strong communication to engage with customers and colleagues on site.

Qualifications

• An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with automated machinery is ideal; training will be provided.
• Happy to work at heights.
• Customer-facing role requiring clear communication at all levels.
• Experience with a CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on automated machinery (cranes, conveyors, robots, bagging machines, Autostore).
• Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturers' recommendations and industry standards.
• Prioritise system faults and ensure output quality at all times.
• Accurately record all work undertaken and participate in continuous improvement.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.

The Role – Resident Maintenance Engineer

• Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; robots, bagging machines and autostore.
• To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
• Prioritise system faults.
• To ensure quality of output at all times.
• To accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.

Application Requirements What you need to succeed

• An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working with automated machinery is ideal, however it is not essential as training will be provided.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience of working with a CMMS system.
