Swisslog is seeking a Resident Site Engineer to join the Derby team. The role involves 12-hour rotating day and night shifts to maintain automated machinery including cranes, conveyors, robots, bagging machines and autostore.
You will perform breakdown and planned preventative maintenance and record all work, with training provided where needed. Applicants should be apprentice-trained electrical engineers or equivalent, able to work at heights, and comfortable in a customer-facing environment

Make an impact Resident Site Engineer, Derby. Working rotating 12-hour days and nights. The Role – Resident Maintenance Engineer Breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; robots, bagging machines and autostore. To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices. Prioritise system faults. To ensure quality of output at all times. To accurately record all work undertaken. Involvement in continuous improvement projects. Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
What you need to succeed An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification. Experience of working with automated machinery is ideal, however it is not essential as training will be provided. Happy to work at heights. This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels. Experience of working with a CMMS system.
