Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is offering an Onshore Wind Turbine Service Technician Apprentice in Scotland. It begins with a 42‑month fixed term contract, training at a partner site in Scunthorpe, and progression to hands-on turbine work onsite with our service team.

You will join a program focused on maintenance, safety, and engineering, with a starting salary of £16,000 and a strong benefits package. Applicants should meet basic GCSE requirements and hold a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including Maths, English, Science.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Clyde Wind Farm.
• Full UK driving licence before offer.
• Must be 18+ by September 2026.
• Be comfortable with heights and shifts.
• Strong enthusiasm for engineering and environment.
• Good verbal and written communication; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and troubleshooting inside wind turbines.
• Perform predefined technical tasks and system component integration.
• Coordinate service operations and resolve product issues on customers' equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Complete safety and quality documentation per procedures.
