Job summary

Sainsbury's is recruiting a Lead Online Manager to oversee the online delivery operation, ensuring every order goes out on time and to the expected standard. You will lead a small team of store managers, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements across processes and people management.

Experience in retail operations and data-driven leadership is essential. The role involves night-time coverage and close collaboration with the store leadership team to execute trading plans and maintain service

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences across complex operations.
• Proven success in delivering and improving KPIs across sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction, and colleague engagement.
• Experience managing sensitive people matters, including performance, absence and employee relations cases.
• Leadership experience in an operational environment (retail, hospitality or food service).
• Evidence of leading change and embedding new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Direct a small team of managers to deliver the online delivery operation of the supermarket, ensuring on-time deliveries for customers.
• Review data and ensure compliance to processes and procedures in a fast-paced KPIs-driven environment.
• Plan for upcoming key trading activities by coordinating with the store leadership team.
• Take full accountability for the store overnight operations, modelling high standards and efficiency.
• Manage pay, scheduling, training, staff communications and employee relation activities such as performance and disciplinaries.
