KEYFORT Group is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a young person on a one-to-one basis within a specialist setting in Wallsend. You will work under a Qualified Teacher to deliver learning activities linked to EHCP targets, using visual resources and varied communication methods.

The role focuses on consistent, personalised learning with an emphasis on safety, safeguarding, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Essential Criteria: Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support a young person on a one-to-one basis in their learning and daily routine, under the direction of a Qualified Teacher
• Deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centered support
• Create resources and activities aligned to EHCP goals
• Support with administration, materials setup, and a safe classroom
• Promote independence, communication, and social interaction creatively
• Collaborate with families, care staff, and external professionals for a joined-up approach
• Safeguard the young person at all times and act in their best interests
