Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a patient and dependable Teaching Assistant to work one‑to‑one with a child with SEND in a Worthing area school. You will support the pupil daily, adapting tasks and resources to suit their needs and following the strategies in the EHCP to help them access the curriculum and stay regulated in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally including those with additional needs, or a willingness to complete our training programme

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with SEND in the classroom.
• Adapt tasks and resources to meet the pupil's needs and EHCP/support plan.
• Help the pupil access the curriculum and stay regulated in class.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress and report on outcomes.
• Build a trusting, consistent relationship with the pupil to support progress.
