Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and reliable 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Birmingham. You will provide personalised support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping with academic, social, and emotional development.

The role offers the chance to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a nurturing environment, supporting transitions throughout the school day and contributing to positive outcomes for the learner.

Qualifications

• Have a suitable qualification for working with children and young people such as Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Workforce.
• Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
• Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners.
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent personalised support to a pupil with special educational needs.
• Offer one-on-one care and assist in academic tasks, social interactions and behaviour management.
• Assist during transitions between routines during the school day.
