Quantum Scholars are seeking a patient, flexible SEND Science Tutor to provide ongoing one-to-one Science tuition for a Year 9 boy in EOTAS in Wokingham. The role is in-person, with approximately 2-3 hours per week across the full school year.

The student has dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD and demand-avoidant tendencies; the tutor should offer a flexible, autonomous learning approach, adapt Biology topics, and be sensitive to prior medical trauma. Safeguarding and building confidence are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Strong science knowledge suitable for Year 9.
• Experience working with learners with SEND.
• Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or personalised educational support.
• Patient, calm and empathetic approach.

Aufgaben

• Deliver 2–3 hours of personalised Science tuition per week.
• Support a Year 9 student accessing EOTAS provision.
• Plan engaging sessions tailored to the learner's needs.
• Foster autonomy and a low-pressure learning environment.
• Monitor progress and adapt tuition to the student's needs and interests.
