Job summary

Polaris Education in Dunstable is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-18, focusing on SEMH and helping meet EHCP targets. You will assist teachers during lessons and contribute to planning and classroom activities.

You will report progress to staff, supervise during non-teaching times, and build positive relationships to promote learning and wellbeing. DBS check will be funded by Polaris Education, and professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong basic education with GCSEs in English and Maths.
• A Level preferred for advanced study.
• Willingness to develop professionally and adapt to school needs.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of up to six.
• Be aware of EHCP targets and assist in meetings and evaluations.
• Support the classroom teacher during lessons and assist with planning.
