Job summary

Academics in Halifax is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the Year 1 level. You will provide one-to-one guidance, tailor a personalised learning plan and help her build confidence and independence throughout the school day.

The role requires a warm, patient and nurturing approach, with the ability to work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement effective learning strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or demonstrable classroom experience.
• Experience providing one-to-one support to a pupil.
• Ability to implement personalised curriculum and learning strategies.

• Provide consistent, high-quality one-to-one support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
• Support access to a personalised curriculum and classroom learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement learning strategies.

• Help the pupil develop both academically and socially.
