Job summary

Academics in Heckmondwike is seeking a warm Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil working at the beginning of the Year 2 curriculum. You will provide individualised one-to-one assistance and help the pupil engage with a personalised learning plan.

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to implement strategies, monitor progress and foster confidence, independence and social development throughout the school day.

Qualifications

  • Applicants should have a relevant Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or demonstrable experience of supporting children within a classroom setting.

Teaching Assistant Required - Primary School, Heckmondwike

Are you a caring, enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a child's education?

A primary school in Heckmondwike is seeking a positive, dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a new pupil joining the school.

The successful applicant will work closely with a Year 5 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the beginning of the Year 2 curriculum. You will play a key role in supporting her personalised learning programme, building her confidence and independence, and helping her to make accelerated progress.

The Role
